You have found a living record. This site is one continuous instrument: a room of 120,000 dust motes simulated live on your graphics processor — drifting, breathing, and remembering how they are treated between visits. What follows is the record's transcription for non-visual receivers: each scene described in the order a sighted visitor crosses it. Press any key to start the music — the record carries one song, "Lost in the Dark" by Aiyo, and the dust moves to it. Press slash to open a hidden terminal, and type HELP there for its commands. Ten quiet achievements hide in this room; the trophy case button in the lower left corner keeps your score and offers a hint for each one still unfound.
I MAKE LIVING THINGS FROM LIGHT
ONE PERSON / DESIGN + BUILD / FOR HIRE

Scene one — the wreath: the dust gathers into a slowly turning ring of teal and violet light that hangs above a black mirror of still water, reflected in it. It leans toward your pointer. It has noticed you.

AND BUILD IT
MOST PLACES YOU’D HIRE FOR THIS HAVE A TEAM. A DESIGNER, A DEVELOPER, SOMEONE TO RUN THE PROJECT, AND A BILL THAT COVERS ALL THREE. I’M ONE PERSON, SO YOU PAY FOR THE WORK INSTEAD OF THE OVERHEAD.
THIS PAGE IS 120,000 PARTICLES RUNNING LIVE ON YOUR GRAPHICS CARD. I DREW IT AND I WROTE THE CODE THAT RUNS IT. IT’S HERE SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE MY WORD FOR WHAT I CAN DO. A BREWERY GETS THE SAME HANDS.
Scene two — the curtain: a banner of thousands of tiny metal sequins hangs at the gateway to the work. Ripples travel outward from its center, flipping each bead as they pass; dragging across it draws light into the fabric. Past the curtain the whole room dives beneath a black waterline — the surface breaks into expanding rings, and the journey continues underwater.

Scene three — the threshold: the dust assembles into a tessellated iris, an aperture of shimmering teal and violet cells. It dilates as you approach, and the site's only warm golden light spills through the opening as you pass through it.
04 / CONTACT
Scene four — the helix: the dust braids itself into a double helix, two strands wound into one living molecule, slowly turning. On each heartbeat the strands unzip like a replication fork and knit back together — the mark of making something alive together.

The final scene: the entire universe of dust collapses into a single mote, which keeps drifting, and the music sinks to a muffled hush — the needle riding the record's run-out groove. The record ends where it began — one living dot, still traveling. Press N — or touch the ending — to press the record anew and begin again.
